Charlotte's 1st Birthday Party was so fun, and good practice to get me brushed up on wedding planning. (As it turned out, it was QUITE the party!) She had a ball though, which is the point, really, and ran around sporting a tutu and a smile all day long (what better birthday outfit than that!?!)
Here're a couple pictures snapped that day...

But, when it came right down to it, Charlotte was a little unsure about digging into that cake after all. We may have a health-food nut on our hands. :)
But she was NOT afraid of jump'in on her new PINK quad, a gift from her friends Cade and Paige. (Perhaps it was the inviting hue of the fenders?)
It's only been two weeks since Charlotte's birthday, but I feel like she's already changed a lot. (Our lil girl is growing up!) Among her most favorite daily activities are:
- Talking on her phone in her playhouse, complete with "hi" into the receiver and all.
- Giving hi-fives when you attempt to buckle her into her car seat (yes, this makes us later than we already are!)
- Playing hip-hip-horay and throwing her hands in the air.
- Playing chase, during which she insists on being the "chasee," and constantly looks back to make sure you're after her.
- Bringing us books to read to her while she pulls up a seat on our laps.
- Slides... lots and lots of SLIDES.
